Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the newspaper subscription, delivery, billing and payment services provided through the PaperSetu platform (papersetu.in). By subscribing to our services or making a payment, you agree to these Terms.

1.PaperSetu Platform & Services

PaperSetu (papersetu.in) offers:

  • PaperSetu Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) ERP application for newspaper agency management, customer subscription tracking, delivery roster creation, delivery boy management, monthly billing, and accounting reports.
  • End-customer management and digital billing reconciliation tools for agency operators and distribution networks.
  • Integrated payment collection facilities via cash, UPI, and authorized digital payment gateways (specifically Cashfree Payments).

2.SaaS Subscription & Free Trial

  • 7-Day Evaluation: New agency accounts begin with a 7-day full-feature trial to assess operational suitability without upfront commitment.
  • Subscription Plans: Following the trial, ongoing access requires purchasing a Quarterly (90-day) or Annual (365-day) subscription plan as detailed on our Pricing page.
  • Service Delivery: Access is provisioned and extended digitally upon successful payment verification as defined in our Service Delivery Policy.
  • Cancellations & Refunds: Handled strictly according to our published Refund & Cancellation Policy.

3.Billing & Automated Calculations

  • PaperSetu generates daily delivery manifests and monthly bills based on active subscription rules and delivery mark records entered by agency staff.
  • Each generated bill details customer particulars, newspaper copies delivered, pause deductions, carry-forward arrears, and net payable sums.
  • Agency owners are responsible for auditing their master newspaper rates and delivery boy markups before issuing printed receipts to end subscribers.

4.Payments & Cashfree Gateway

  • Online subscription purchases and agency invoices are processed securely through Cashfree Payments, an RBI-licensed payment aggregator.
  • All transactions are subject to Cashfree's PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant protocols. PaperSetu never stores sensitive card data or UPI PIN credentials.
  • Payments are logged with full audit trails (Order ID, Payment Session ID, and bank UTR) and reconciled immediately upon gateway confirmation.

5.Pricing

Charges are as per the cover price of each newspaper set by its publisher, plus delivery charges where applicable. There are no hidden fees. The exact rate applicable to your subscription is stated at the time of subscribing and is visible on every bill.

6.Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide an accurate delivery address and accessible delivery point, and keep your contact details up to date.
  • Inform us in advance of pauses (e.g. travel) so delivery and billing can be adjusted.
  • Settle bills within a reasonable time of receiving them. Service may be suspended for long-outstanding dues after prior intimation.

7.Limitation of Liability

Our liability in respect of any claim relating to the services is limited to the amount billed for the affected period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for non-delivery caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

8.Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9.Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Maharashtra, India. We encourage you to first contact us directly — most issues are resolved quickly and amicably.

10.Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use of the services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
