We collect only the information needed to run our newspaper delivery and billing services:

• Identity & contact details — name, mobile number, and delivery address, collected when a subscription is created.
• Subscription details — newspapers subscribed, delivery schedule, pauses and preferences.
• Billing & payment records — bills generated, amounts due, payments received, payment mode (cash / UPI / online) and receipt history.
• Account information — for staff users of the platform: login mobile number, role and activity logs.

• To deliver newspapers to your address as per your subscription.
• To generate accurate monthly bills and payment receipts.
• To contact you regarding deliveries, bills, payment reminders or service updates.
• To maintain a complete audit trail of subscriptions, deliveries, bills and payments as required for accounting.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.

Online subscription payments and customer bill payments are processed through secure, RBI-authorized third-party payment aggregators and gateways (specifically Cashfree Payments). When you pay online, your payment transaction is handled directly by Cashfree on PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant secure infrastructure.

• PaperSetu does not collect, process, or store credit/debit card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, net banking passwords, or bank account credentials.
• We only receive and store necessary transaction audit metadata — such as the Cashfree Order ID, Payment Session ID, transaction status, timestamp, payment method type (e.g. UPI, NetBanking, Card), and amount — required to activate and reconcile subscriptions.
• Cashfree’s own privacy policy and terms govern the processing of payment details entered on the Cashfree checkout page.

Your information is shared only where necessary to provide the service:

• Delivery staff — name, address and newspaper details, so daily deliveries can be completed.
• Payment gateways — transaction details required to process online payments.
• Legal requirements — where disclosure is required by law, regulation or valid legal process.

Subscription, billing and payment records are retained for as long as your subscription is active and thereafter as required for accounting, tax and legal purposes. Records deleted from the system are soft-deleted first and permanently removed during periodic clean-ups.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including authenticated access, role-based permissions, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and audit logging of changes to billing-critical records. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.

• You may ask us what personal information we hold about you.
• You may ask us to correct inaccurate details (e.g. address or mobile number).
• You may request deletion of your data after your subscription ends and dues are settled, subject to records we must keep by law.

The platform uses only essential cookies / local storage needed for login sessions and language preference. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
